Today, Hasani pharmacy is doing a flourishing job through its world famous products, but the success didn’t come easy. The real founder of Hasani Pharmacy Hakeem Dr.Syed Abdul Ali Hasani born in 1893 in his maternal hometown Haswa Fatehpur district U.P . Primary education started at eight years, then he went to Raebareli and received his formal education and learned Arabic language from his grand father Maulana Hakeem Fakhruddin Khayali sb , who was a renowned religious scholar and Hakeem of his time.
He received his later education in Nadwatul Ulama under the guidance of his father Maulana Hakeem Syed Abdul Hai Hasani, the ex- rector of Nadwa who was also a great physician of his time . He was famed in correcting grave diseases using common and inexpensive herbs and medicines. His formulas and notes were used by many families for a long period of time and many great physicians benefited from them. He was an expert in the treatment of melancholia using ordinary drugs. Many great and famous physicians had been his students. Some of his famous disciples were Hakeem Shah Yavar Hussein Sahib , Moulvi Hakeem Bahauddin Sahib , Moulvi Hakeem Fazlur Rehman Sahib , Sawai Maulana Hakeem Afzal Ali Sahib , Hakeem Abdul Majeed Khan Azmi e.t.c.
Abdul Ali Sahib profited from the knowledge of his illustrious father who passed on his legacy of Hikmat to him .After completing his education in Nadva Tul Ulama he went to Darul Uloom Deoband in 1907 A.D to receive further education and completed it in the year 1912 A.D .Thereafter he returned to Lucknow and studied contemporary literature of Unani medicines and Tibb under the able guidance of his father Abdul Hai Hasani. Furthermore he moved to Delhi and received education from Masseh ul Mulk Hakeem Ajmal Khan Sb .On returning to Lucknow he took admission in ninth class in Centennial school, from where he passed his intermediate in 1917. After it he took admission in Canning College University and passed his degree in B.Sc achieving first position in Canning college and second position and gold medal in Allahabad University.
In 1920 he took admission in King George Medical College from where he completed his M.B.B.S in 1925.Then onwards he started his own clinic or Matab in 1931. He also became the rector of Nadvatul Ulema till his death in 1961 .He was a man of extra ordinary genius combining with his personality traits of ancient wisdom and modern sciences . He proved his excellence in religious and secular education too and had command on Unani medicines and Allopathic system and surgery at the same time .His vast learning and company of renowned Hakeems of his time together with the legacy of Hikmat running in his family from generations helped him in the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases , and in discovering proper relevant medicines simultaneously. He went through nearly all the literature upon Tibb and Unani medicines and treatment , his command over Arabic , Persian and Urdu languages helped him to scan this whole literature and to derive benefit from it , while his degree in M.B.B.S and B.Sc in botany made him acknowledged him of the contemporary trends in modern treatment and Allopathic medicines . Soon his clinic or Matab gained such popularity in Lucknow that the Nawabs and the poor crowded it in throngs. During this period he applied his vast knowledge of Unani and modern treatment upon his patients. It resulted in the discovery of many new medicines and their effects upon the human body. He used to note down these results which together with the formulas inherited from his father formed the basis of Hasani pharmacy later . His legacy of these discoveries was passed down to his family members who after him crystallized his dream of serving the humanity.
Presently Hasani Pharmacy is progressing and gaining vast popularity and acceptance in all the sections of the society, especially those who have lost faith in Allopathic treatment owing to its side- and -after effects. Today Hasani pharmacy is a trusted name among herbal medicines. Some of his formulas have been launched while many still wait the proper time. Hasani pharmacy keeps on refining its standards of preparing medicines to achieve the best results. It also opts to achieve the best remedies of the human ailments through constant upgrading in the preprational methodology and the proper usage of the original and precious herbs used in the preparations of these medicines. Herbs are collected from the various parts of the country and used only after their quality is assured through experts of the field. Some of the herbs etc used in the medicines are brought from Himalayas, abode of the sages since times immemorial (from where the legendary Sanjeevani Buti is said to have been brought by Hanuman ji for the treatment of Lakshman the brother of king Rama).
